Whether you're starting wedding planning or adding final touches, my blog offers creative ideas, expert advice, and heartfelt stories to make your wedding unique. I'm eager to share my passion for weddings, from design details to memorable moments. Let's embark on this adventure together and make your wedding dreams a reality.
I realize that I’ve been throwing the word shoot around my social media when I post my couples’ photos. Sometimes I forget that not everyone knows photog (that’s short for a photographer (and I am embarrassed to say I did not get that when I first heard the word)) lingo.
An eshoot is simply an engagement shoot! But at TM Grey Photo, an engagement shoot is more than that.

Couples can book an eshoot with me outside of a wedding package at any time. I offer an hour-long session. Depending on which outfit package you choose, you may end up with the 45-minute session or the 90-minute session. The longer engagement session will allow for more locations and outfit changes. Engagement sessions are included in all of my wedding packages because of how important they are.
So what happens during an eshoot with TM Grey Photo?

First, I warm my couples up. Almost every couple that comes to me has usually only been in front of the camera for senior photos or never at all. It’s natural to be nervous, so I start with some basics to get you into the groove.
Once we are more comfortable, we can add some advanced posing and movement poses. And let’s not forget about those props.

I always encourage my couples to bring props to really make the session reflect them. It’s great to bring things like blankets, champagne to pop, flowers, etc. Adding a creative element like props adds more story, dimension, and variety to your engagement session and gallery.
Couples have their own props with a special meaning, like Hannah and Tim during their eshoot. Hanna and Tim brought the same umbrella that they walked around in when they first started dating. Of course, I incorporated it in their ring shots. They also had me recreate a photo from their early dating days.

At the first location, I always tell my couples that I suggest we do the casual outfit first. A casual outfit is what you wear more regularly, so when we start with the casual outfit, it’s an easier transition for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. Plus, after you wear the dressy outfit at the second location and the sun goes down, we’re done, and you can head to dinner or date night! Never waste a full face of make-up or a fancy dress!
